Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Criminal Defence Solicitor to join our reputable team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of challenging cases, representing clients in various criminal matters. As a Criminal Defence Solicitor, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for our clients' rights, building strong defence strategies, and achieving favorable outcomes.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients facing criminal charges
  • Conduct thorough case analysis, review evidence, and develop effective defence strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including bail applications, pre-trial hearings, trials, and sentencing hearings.
  • Negotiate with prosecutors to secure favorable plea deals or dismissals when in the best interest of the client..
  • Maintain open communication with clients, keeping them informed of case developments and providing compassionate support throughout the legal process.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
  • Minimum of 3- 5 years PQE of experience practicing criminal defence law, with a proven track record of successful case outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of criminal law, procedure, and precedents, with a keen understanding of legal principles and statutes relevant to criminal defence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to ethical standards.
