Senior Accountant
Our Client is a well-established and progressive accountancy practice based in North Co. Dublin. They advise a diverse portfolio of SME clients across multiple sectors, delivering high-quality accounting, taxation, and advisory services. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join the team in an audit-exempt capacity.
The Role As an Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, preparing statutory accounts and managing client relationships while working closely with partners and junior staff. This is a non-audit role, ideal for a technically strong accountant who enjoys advisory-led work and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities - Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies (audit-exempt)
- Preparation and review of management accounts
- Corporation tax computations and CT1 returns
- Income tax compliance for owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals
- VAT returns and advisory queries
- Liaising directly with clients, providing accounting and business advice
- Assisting with mentoring and reviewing work of junior team members
- Supporting partners with ad-hoc advisory and consultancy assignments
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and Irish tax legislation
Requirements - ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in a practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting and taxation
- Experience managing a client portfolio independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
